A retired band director himself, Grandpa Uyeda has taught thousands of students from Stevenson Middle School, Leilehua High School, and Leeward Community College. After retirement, Grandpa Uyeda would come to the WIS band room to help mentor students not just in music but with life. He has made such a large impact on many and he is truly missed.
